Tri-State Rheumatology Clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment for diseases that affect the body’s connective tissue. Diagnosis and treatment includes systemic autoimmune conditions; these conditions affect the joints, muscles, and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness, and deformity.

Zeeshan Afzal, MD, attended King Edward Medical College in Pakistan and received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2003. He then studied Internal Medicine as an intern at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, TX, where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine. He continued his training as a Fellow in Rheumatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Afzal is board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Geni Evans, NP-C, has worked as a registered nurse in the LC Valley since 1984. Geni received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lewis-Clark State College, Master of Science in Nursing from Idaho State University, and her Family Nurse Practitioner Post Graduate Certificate from Gonzaga University. She completed certification in Advanced Rheumatology in 2011 through the American College of Rheumatology. She is excited to see patients and help with managing inflammatory diseases including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Lupus, and Gout.
